FAQs

What is the attire?

The wedding itself will be semi-formal. Everything else (including the Friday night barbecue) will be very casual! Note — August in South Carolina can be hot and humid. Weather permitting, the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, so dress for heat. There will be plenty of indoor spaces to relax and cool off throughout the day.

Anything particular I should pack?

We will be on a lake, so be sure to bring a swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen. If you have a kayak, floaties, paddle board, etc, please bring it — you’re welcome to leave it at our dock while you’re here. We’ll have a pickleball court set up for those who are interested. There’s a big yard, so if you have any fun yard games, bring them too! Bring sneakers and athletic wear if you are planning on participating in the Brehm/Mosher Olympics.

Where should I stay?

If you are not staying on site at Cloudwalker, there are plenty of AirBnBs/VRBOs around Lake Keowee. Check our our Accommodations page for details.

I have a dietary restriction, what should I do?

If you haven’t yet RSVPed, you can note that in there. If you forgot to note that in the RSVP, feel free to reach out to Daniel or Rose. We are equipped to handle all dietary needs.

What is there to do in the area?

Regardless of where you are staying, we invite you to spend your time at Cloudwalker. See the detailed itinerary.

What meals will be provided?

All are invited to the Welcome Dinner on Friday evening and a dinner will follow the wedding ceremony on Saturday. Casual lunch offerings will be available at Cloudwalker on Friday and Saturday, as will breakfast on Friday and brunch on Sunday. Please indicate on your RSVP when you’ll be joining us for meals at Cloudwalker.

What about beverages?

Beverages will be available throughout the weekend. We will have a bar with alcoholic and alternative beverages during the reception. If there is something specific you would like, feel free to BYOB.

Can I Give a Toast?

Absolutely! Please let us know in the RSVP. We ask that you keep it short and sweet — 3 to 5 minutes!
